I already gave Maya her Christmas gift today: "The Storyteller's Daughter", the hardbound book that I bought at the mall last Saturday. She was pretty happy about it, and we both gushed at the books I was about to receive by mid-January (it takes so long because international mail is the pits!); the books, Baudolino by Umberto Eco and Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman are courtesy of the fine people at Bookmooch.com.
Anyway I haven't made much progress driving my kuya a hard bargain for a tablet and scanner. They gave me a brand new mouse though (a mouse again!!!!! ToT as if that's any consolation.) So, I made lots of commishes that accumulated for the past months! (*singsong* negligence so much~~~~~!) I worked so hard in MSPaint (Special people might notice that their sketches are from Painter 9. Don't worry; it's just favoritism to the ninth power.)

My tatay gave me this ultra fucking cool leather bag, maroon in color and rad in style. He bought it for under 50 pesos in ukay-ukay (half of my shirts are from thriftstores too! So cheers to practical and thrifty genes!), and it contrasted so well with another gift, this pair of mundane slippers called Havaianas that my sister gave me which cost her a whopping 1,500pesos. Imagine the extravagance. EXCUSE ME BUT MY SISTER SEEMS TO HAVE LOST HER HEAD.
So what is up with all these gift-giving? Hmm, the Christmas bug must be spreading, I hope it bites you. (Hint: I might be wanting AMANO: The Complete Prints. Thanks. :D)
