Listening to: Punk Rock Song - Bad Religion
Reading: Lament of the Lamb 1 - Kei Toume (TokyoPop)
Starting:
1. A JOB!
Well, an On-the-Job training anyway.XD I'm on the list for GMA (yes! the television network w00t)
I think I'd have the confirmation next week. >.> Err... am waiting anxiously.
2. MANGA!
I'm starting yet another manga which definitely wouldn't be finished, and would have nil readers ToT, because I suck at drawing.
3. PART TIME JOB...
I want to apply for an internet cafe. :(
Anyway advance merry christmas. I hope you saved enough for gift-giving. I didn't.
o_OI have to add:Randy and I went to the mall to see
Guerilla Film Festival 4 (got a little nostalgic because it's the 2nd Guerilla Film we watched together ToT sigh*sigh)
Films this year are A LOT more understandable, as compared to last year where artsy films didn't equal to comprehension of the given plot.
Guerilla 4 now has THEMES for every filmmaking team: Drugs, premarital sex, pregnancy, etc. The genre diversity is lowered, but in this respect it's a lot less confusing.
AND ZOMG FOR DOCUMENTARIES. IT SURE AS HELL MADE MY WEEK!!11!!!!onehundredeleven!Titles and Synopsis presented as such:
DOCUMENTARIES
1.
Ang Kangit-ngit Sa Dabaw (lit. The Darkness in Davao)- DESPITE THE NON-ENGAGING NAME, IT'S THE MOST WELL-EDITED, WELL-WRITTEN DOKYU PIECE AMONG THE LOT. I'm not saying this just because my classmates made this, and not to suck up to them because they mentioned me in the film's ending credits for a poster design which never pulled through (gawdaful, non-l33t design: MY FAULT) but because the documentary was really kick-ass superior. Even if I were Phil Scie and I watched the film I would take an absolute liking to it. It was organized, dramatic, and it seemed to have an important message to tell.
Aicha: Yeah! They pulled it off!
Randy: That was good.2.
Salot - A film made by University of Mindanao. FUCKING BORING AS HELL SORRY TO THOSE CONCERNED BUT ITS CRAP. KTHXNEWAY FOR THE RESEARCH, WHAT YOU DID WAS OVERKILL, REMEBER TO KEEP IT TO YOURSELF NEXT TIME. STORYTELLING DOESN'T NEED STATISTICS.
NOT TO SOUND RUDE OR ANYTHING BUT YOU COULD DO WITH A BETTER FEMALE REPORTER. HER PLUS POINT GOES TO HER GOOD VOICE BUT HER TEETH DOESN'T FILM WELL.
Randy: I could've done better with a fork.SHORT STORIES
1.
Mukha - Started off like a Maximo-Oliveros thing. THE DIALOGUE IS FANTASTIC. Actors were loud where noise was called for and pensive when needed. The camera handling was superb, and unlike any other. It's wasn't perfect, but it did make for a very neat film. It had a touching ending, though. Double Plus Good.
Aicha: Awwww... <3
Randy: :)2.
Asa Ka Adto Pedring (Where Are You Going, Pedring)- For a John Paul Seniel digital film, this is DIRECTED VERY POORLY. THERE IS NO TENSION WHEN THE SCENE CALLS FOR IT. I was a bit disappointed after Seniel's piece at the Indie Film Festival at MTS.
Aicha: I could've done better with a booger.3.
Badjao (a/n: One of Davao's Indigenous Tribes, usually lives near natural bodies of water) - Pre-prod must've rocked, but the post-prod is sucky. YOU'VE JUST EMPLOYED A BAD LEADING ACTOR. CROSS HIM OFF THE LIST. YOUR DIRECTOR IS A RETARD. INCREDIBLY CRAPTASTIC EDITING.
Aicha: ....
Randy: ....4.
Matris - ??? I HATE CLIFFHANGERS. ESPECIALLY FROM RIOTOUS FILMS AS THIS.
Aicha: WHAT
Randy: WHAT(more to come later)
